Build the itinerary and start settings

The itinerary is the running order of the event: stages, time controls, service and so on, with distances and target times. The start settings say when the first car leaves and how far apart cars start.

Open it from the events page with "Itinerary", or from the event's edit page with "Itinerary and start settings".

Set the start settings

  1. In the box at the top, set "First car" to the time the first car leaves, in the event's time zone.
  2. Set "Interval (seconds, 10 to 3600)": the gap between cars.
  3. Set "Later heats and legs start": "Same seeded order", "Reverse seeded order" or "Order of the earlier heats or legs" for heats and legs after the first.
  4. Choose "Save start settings".

These feed the start order and the times in the print pack.

Add rows

  1. Under "Add a row", pick the "Kind": stage, time control, service, regroup or liaison.
  2. Enter a "Code" (such as SS1) and a "Name".
  3. Optional: "Heat or run", "Leg or day", "Distance (metres)" and "Target time (seconds from previous row)". Only stages count as competitive distance. Clear "Counts towards the result" on a practice or qualifying run.
  4. If the first car restarts at a fixed time after a break, set it in the "Restart: first car leaves at" field.
  5. Add "Notes" for anything officials should see.
  6. Choose "Add row".

To add every run of a course in one go, use "Add all the runs of one course" below the form. See Set up a rally, rallysprint, hillclimb, heats or a multi-day event.

Each row shows the time the first car is due, worked out from the first car time and the target times above it. Use "Up" and "Down" to reorder, "Edit" then "Save row" to change a row, and "Remove" to delete one.

The line at the bottom adds up competitive and liaison distance and the total.
