Volunteers
Sign up to help at an event
Tell the organiser you can help on the day. You do not need an account.
Clubs rely on volunteers for stages, controls, documentation, scrutineering and more. You do not need an account to offer your help.
- Open the event's page and choose "Volunteer for this event". The link is near the bottom of the page, and is not shown once the event is complete.
- Fill in "Name", "Email" and, if you like, "Phone".
- Under "Roles you are interested in", tick every role you could do. "Any" means you will do whatever is needed.
- Describe when you can help in "Availability", and any relevant background in "Experience". Neither is required.
- Tick the consent box. It is required, because the organiser needs your permission to store your details and contact you.
- Choose "Sign up".
You will see "Thanks. We have your details and sent a confirmation email." Check your inbox for the email.
What happens next
The organiser sees your sign-up and contacts you. Their records show whether they have contacted you, confirmed you or declined. Signing up is an offer, not a guaranteed place on the day. Wait for the organiser to confirm.
Your details are kept for the organiser's volunteer records for a limited time after the event, then removed.
If something goes wrong
- A box is highlighted and the page says there is a problem. A summary at the top lists each field to fix.
- You signed up twice. A second sign-up with the same email leaves your first one as it was. Contact the organiser to change your roles.
- You are told to try again shortly. The form limits how often it can be sent. Wait a minute and try again.
- No confirmation email. Check your spam folder, and that you typed your email correctly.
