Sign your declarations
Read and sign the organiser's declarations online, and keep a copy.
Most events ask each person on the entry to sign declarations, such as an indemnity or a statement of compliance. You sign them online by typing your name. There is nothing to print.
Sign a declaration
- Go to your entry under "My entries" and choose "Sign declarations". You can also reach it from the review step of the entry form.
- Read each declaration in full. It shows whether it is required, and its version number.
- Type your full name in "Type your full name to sign". It must match the name on your account exactly.
- Choose "Sign".
- We email you a link to your signed copy. You can also open it with "View your signed copy".
You can sign before or after you submit your entry, and after the organiser accepts it, right up to the day before the event starts. Signing does not hold up your submission or your acceptance. On the first day of the event signing online is closed, and any declaration still outstanding is signed on paper at documentation.
Each person signs for themselves. If you are the driver and your co-driver has declarations too, they sign from their own account. See Add a co-driver.
If you are under 18
A parent or guardian must sign as well. The page shows a "Parent or guardian" box. Enter their "Guardian full name" and "Guardian email" (their own address, not yours), and they type the same name in "Guardian types their full name to sign" while you sit with them.
If the text changes
If the organiser edits a declaration after you signed it, the page tells you the text has changed and asks you to read and sign the new version. Your earlier signed copy is kept.
If something goes wrong
- You see "Add your date of birth to your profile before you sign." Open your profile, add your date of birth and save, then return.
- Signing says the name does not match. Type your name exactly as it appears on your account, including spacing.
- A declaration is missing. The organiser may not have published its final text yet. You cannot sign it until they do. Ask them.
- You see "This entry can no longer be signed." Declarations can be signed while the entry is a draft, submitted, or waiting for documents or payment, and once it is accepted until the day before the event starts. If the organiser waitlists or rejects it, you withdraw, or the event has started, signing online is closed. Contact the organiser, who can take a paper declaration at documentation.
