Produce the start order and the print pack
Seed the field, print the start order, and find every document in the print pack.
The print pack turns the entry list into the paper you need for the event. Everything is rebuilt from the live entry list each time you open it, so reprint after any change.
Get the start order right
- Accept the entries that are in. See Work the entry list. Only entries that hold a place (accepted, started, finished, DNF or DSQ) are printed. Drafts, submitted, waitlisted, withdrawn and rejected entries never appear.
- Give everyone a number. See the numbers section of that guide.
- Put the field in seed order on the entry list. Cars are sorted by seed, then number. Entries without a seed go last.
- Set the first car time and interval. See Build the itinerary and start settings.
Open the print pack
On the events page choose "Exports" for the event. The page is called "Exports and print pack". Documents open in a new tab as print-ready pages. Use the browser's Print, or save as PDF.
Across the top you can override the values used for the start order and the cards:
- "Heat (optional)": the heat number. Later heats follow the "Later heats and legs start" setting.
- "Leg (optional)": the leg or day, for a multi-day event. Later legs follow the same setting. Both boxes can be left empty.
- "First car" and "Interval (seconds)": prefilled from your start settings. Changing them here changes this printout only.
- "Stages per time card": how many stage rows go on each card.
- "Controls (comma list)": the names of the controls for the control sheets, such as Start, Finish.
Documents in the pack
- Entry list. "Print" is the full list with entrants. "Print (public)" leaves the entrant out, for display. "CSV" and "CSV (public)" are spreadsheet versions.
- Start order. Start times from the first car and interval. "Print" or "CSV".
- Itinerary. Stages, controls and service with distances and the first car's due time.
- Bulletin register. Every bulletin issued, in number order.
- Documentation check sheet. One row per entry with what each crew member has supplied, licences and a sign-off box. See Documentation day runbook.
- Control sheets. One page per control, cars in start order, blank time columns.
- Time cards. One card per entry, four to a page.
- Scrutiny tags. One tag per entry, eight to a page, with safety items that need attention.
- Sanctioning-body return. A CSV of entries with licence numbers and the permit number. The final format for each body is still to be confirmed.
The first four are open to any member of your team. The rest need permission to manage entries because they carry licence numbers or are working papers.
One-pagers
Four printable one-pagers support the pack, and each fits one A4 side. They are listed at the bottom of the print pack page.
- Documentation table: checklist for officials.
- Competitors: what to bring to documentation.
- How to enter, for the club noticeboard.
- Event day quick reference for the secretary.
If something goes wrong
- A document is empty. No entries hold a place yet. Accept entries first.
- The start order has people in the wrong order. Fix seeds on the entry list, then reprint.
- A withdrawn car still appears on paper. Reprint. The pack does not update paper you printed earlier.
- You cannot see some documents. Your role cannot manage entries.
