Officials

Getting started as an official

Set up your credentials, answer roster offers, check in on the day and see the events you have worked.

Officials are the people an organiser puts on a roster position: clerk of course, stage commander, timekeeper, marshal and so on. Your official work has its own screen, kept apart from your competing.

Set up once

  1. Create your account and sign in. See Create an account and sign in.
  2. Open "Officials dashboard" in the sidebar.
  3. Choose "Edit credentials" and fill in the details organisers check before they roster you: "WWCC number", first aid expiry and radio licence. Choose "Save credentials".
  4. Choose "Add accreditation" to record a grade or licence you hold from a sanctioning body. You choose the "Sanctioning body", "Level", "Reference number" and "Expiry date".

The "Ready to officiate" panel on the dashboard shows what is missing or about to expire.

When an organiser rosters you

  1. The organiser sends you a position. You get an email, and the offer appears under "Waiting for your reply" on the dashboard and on "My roster".
  2. Choose "Accept" or "Decline". You can add a message to the organiser first.
  3. If the organiser sends a briefing, read it and choose "I have read and understood the briefing". It appears under "Briefings to read".

See Answer roster offers and check in for the detail.

On the day

Check in from "My roster" once you are at your post. The button only appears on the event's days. Stage commanders can also check in the people on their own stage.

Afterwards

"Events officiated" on the dashboard lists what you have worked, with totals by season and role. Choose "Download as CSV" to keep a copy.

If you only want to help

You do not need an account to offer your help to a club. See Sign up to help at an event. Once the organiser rosters you, the position reaches you as above.
